Lacuna
'Lacuna' series delves into the essence of absence and presence. Encapsulated by the term "lacuna," derived from "lac" or lake. This series explores the notion of lacuna as symbolic voids, spaces, or depressions. Lakes, mytholocially, for some people signify realms of the deceased and serve as conduits where life merges with the fluidity of another domain. Reflective surfaces of lakes become akin to Earth's open liquid eyes, mirroring the dissolution of knowledge and matter into the dualities of the soul. Positioned on the water's edge, we offer up dreams, reflections, and illusions, bridging realms above and below, thus imbuing lakes with symbolic gateways to the unconscious psyche.
